Peace-schools in Afghanistan

Schooling instead of fundamentalism

Kinderhilfe-Afghanistan is a private initiative from doctor Reihardt Erös, his wife Anette and their five children (in the age of 17 to 29 years). In 1998 their organisation was started. Their initiative mainly supports children and women in East-Afghanistan with clinics and schooling.

Together with Afghan co-workers they establish peace-schools, mother- and child clinics, health centres, orphanages and several workshops in the east provinces of Afghanistan and in refugee camps.

Give children in the Middle-East a future with music!

One and a half children in the Middle-East live as refugees. Many of these children live in pitiful circumstances in disconsolate camps with minimal facilities .Help Music in Me to let these children sing again. Help us to bring them in contact with music and give them, through projects new hope for a better life, for freedom and for reconciliation.

Music softens sorrow, gives joy and affection. Furthermore it is proved that music enhances the social abilities of children and it  supports to get over trauma. Music in Me gives underprivileged children in the Middle-East something to look forward to, for example a music lesson after school or an own instrument for which financial means usually are missing.

Music in Me works together with a large local network of relief organisations and partners from the musical world, together enduring projects are realized. For example the music schools in the refugee camp Rashidieh near Beirut, in the Yarmouk camp near Damascus and in the poor area Silwan in Jerusalem. Many more children should be reached with new music projects.

We need your help very much!
